OC: Aura

Image
Hey again, peeps! Today I drew my first OC (In case you don't know, that is an "original character"). I am especially proud of this piece of work, it is an improvement from what I usually draw. Here is her "profile." Age: 11 Hobbies: Stargazing, playing in the snow Food & drinks: Mushrooms and tea Personality: Curious, adventurous  Aura is 11 years old and she lives in a cold climate. She is always curious and loves snowflakes. When Aura is not frolicking in the snow, she is in the forest. She likes to eat mushrooms and drink tea. When it’s not snowing, she observes the night sky and records the stars she sees.

Lumos!

Hello my fellow witches and wizards! Today I felt like drawing Harry Potter. SO many people LOVE Harry Potter, and I hope you do too! Let me know what your favorite book and character is in the comments below. Thanks!

Luiaard’s Crits #4: Pirates of the Caribbean

Hello there, my favorite viewer😉! Today I’ll be reviewing the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series.  Pirates of the Caribbean is funny and has a good plot. It is not only a Disney movie but it’s an actual movie that isn’t animated. Not that I have anything against animation, but you know what I mean. This movie series is not too violent, and like all Disney movies, there is barely any blood. The story is intriguing and humorous. This is probably one of the top ten funniest movies I have ever watched! I highly recommend you watch this movie series. Two thumbs up from me👍! Warning: There is a tad bit of mushiness...

I am Feeling Rapunzel Today

Image
Hello again! I just want to say thank you all for viewing my blog, it means a lot to me! Today, I drew a picture of Rapunzel because of my crazy hair and being holed up in the house. If you look closely at the picture, Rapunzel has super long hair (of course) and is cooped up in the tower. This is how I felt when drawing the picture, so I hope you capture my purpose. Again, thanks for viewing my blog (especially Romania 🤭). I will post a new drawing with another update.

Link, Watch Out!

Image
Hey peeps! I am back again! Anyway, my awesome friend, Leo, likes Legend of Zelda. So, I looked up what the main character, Link, looked like and I drew him. When Leo saw this he said it looked cool and I am hoping you think so too! Oh, and one more thing. If you're wondering why Blue Box (I think that's what they are called) is saying, "Watch out!" then it is because Leo sent me a video of a song on YouTube. I will not post the link, but the song is called Watch Out.  Thanks for checking out my art!  Let me know if you like Legend of Zelda and I will draw more art based on it.

She Found It!

Image
Okay, peeps! We have a story on our hands today! Let's start at the beginning. My mom was given a ring from her sister then lost it for 10 years...yikes! Mom finally found it when she was deep cleaning in quarantine. Today, something very odd happened. She lost it for 10 hours...! My mom lost the ring for ten hours and was searching everywhere, even the garbage :0. Finally, FINALLY, she found it. Do you want to know where? In her oven mitt! Crazy story, right? This inspired me to draw a picture of how my mom looked when she found it. It's not exactly accurate, but almost!

Singer

Hey peeps! Here's another drawing I made of a dream little girl wanting to be a singer. Hope you like it! I was inspired by one of my favorite YouTube channels, Love2DrawManga.

A very, VERY late Mother's Day card to use

Image
Hey guys! I know Mother's Day is looong behind us, but I recently made another picture that you can use on mother's day. You can take a screen shot if you want to actually use it for Mother's Day (in the future LOL). Hope you like it! Sorry about the Rachel L. bit; I need to put it there so no one can take credit :1 There are jerks who take credit for your work! (My friend has done that in the past -_-)

Wow....what a rough weekend!

I know around the people around the world have worse things to worry about...but what just happened was DISASTROUS! A couple days ago, there was a HUGE storm near my house. Out of all the houses in the neighborhood, it struck my house. So for the past couple weeks (okay, fine, one day) we had NO WIFI. My reaction without WiFi: 😭😭😭. That’s why I couldn’t talk the past couple days...sorry about that! Anyway, just letting you guys know,  I know how you feel when you lose WiFi. ;)

Interviewing With Mira!

Image
Hello to all you stay-at-home or vacation-time viewers! No offense to the people out there but I wouldn't go outside if I were you... But this blog is not to talk about danger and illnesses and all that other junk! Today, I am interviewing a new Mystiqua (magic school) student, Mira! Did you know Mira is my favorite name for witches? Now you do ;D Reporter: Hello, Mira! How are you doing today? Mira: I am well, thank you Helora. Reporter: What is "Helora?" Mira: Oh, I am sorry for my rude manners. A Helora is something we call humans. Not that I mean any harm or anything. I will just call you reporter! Reporter: *chuckles* Sounds good to me! So Mira, how is your Mystiqua summer school going? Mira: It's going well. We have to use a Miro Transer, which is what the professors give us in the first year. It's a mini portal, the size of a hand mirror, that you can turn in your parchments in. You can also talk through the portal with the professors! Reporter: Ah, so like

One Hardship on my Mind

So, hey again guys. I want to let you know that there are a lot of troubling times in the world right now. I know, I know. I’m trying to avoid talking about hardships and all that other pessimistic stuff. But all I want to give is support. Because of all the cough cough going on, I know some of you tweens out there have parents that might be considering virtual school. I just want to let you know: don’t take it out on them. They’re just trying to do what’s best for you, and you should try to be appreciative about it. I know you won’t get to see your friends as much and there’s a 61% chance you’ll go nuts, but it can be what’s best for you. I wish you luck in these troubling times!

Walking in the Rain Art

Image
Hey guys! After all those times from walking in the rain with my parents, I created this work of art. I have to admit, the girl in the picture looks much happier than me when I walk, but I created it to test out a new drawing technique: going digital. Usually I draw on paper, so I hope you like my new digital art! Signing off, Rachel L.

Being a Baking Maniac!

Image
Hello to all of you baking maniacs! Lately I have been baking a lot! My friend, Lydia, emailed me this amazing truffle recipe and I used it (although with too much cocoa powder :D) and it is delicious! Let me post an altered recipe here :) 1 cup semisweet chocolate  ½  cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract Base flavorings: Cocoa powder (I also mixed in some espresso powder) Crush/ and or chop the chocolate into bite sized pieces, not tiny pieces. The chocolate will add a slight crunch to the truffle, so it's your choice how to chop the chocolate. In a medium-sized pan, heat heavy cream over low heat, until a light simmer. Pour mixture into the chocolate and wait 2 minutes (not too long or the chocolate won't stir well). Then add the vanilla extract. Stir until combined. Once you’ve combined it, put it into a bowl (whatever you have is fine). Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour or longer until the mixture is solid. Using a spoon and your hands, roll the truffle i
